The ENGAGE ASIA Programme ends with a graduation ceremony for its first batch of graduates who come from nine countries all over Asia. Now part of the alumni of the Global Labour University (GLU), the 23 trade unionists/labour activists, after having completed the online (from 20 March to 10 June 2023) and in-person (from 28 June to 25 July 2023) phases of the programme comprised of blended lectures, workshops, and group research projects, were finally recognized and awarded their certificates in the presence of the organizers and sponsors of the programme and other guests.

The ENGAGE ASIA Programme equips trade unionists and labor activists with critical knowledge and tools to enable them to take an active part in public debate, policy formulation and implementation in the field of labour and employment, development, wages and productivity, climate justice and just transition, and developments and changes in the world of work. The programme is jointly developed by the UP SOLAIR and the GLU, with the support of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) and the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO-Norway).
