Everyone is invited to attend lectures by Dr. Shaun Ruggunan of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, next week, from 17 to 19 September 2024, in UP Diliman. All lectures are free and open to the public, and may be accessed through online channels. Food or snacks will be provided in all lectures for onsite (until supplies last) or registered attendees.
Dr. Ruggunan is a renowned academic and sociologist in the field of labor sociology in South Africa. He has greatly contributed to the fields of labor studies, critical management studies, and sociology of work through teaching and research, and he has extensively published on global seafaring labor markets, critical management studies, and the changing nature of professional work in South Africa. His visit to the University of the Philippines is made possible through the World Experts Lecture Series Program of the UP Office of International Linkages.
